CDL A TRUCK DRIVER- DIRECT HIRE!

Scrap yard located on the south side of Milwaukee has an opening for a CDL A truck driver! Must be able to drive both Automatic and manual transmission!

First shift Monday- Friday Schedule!! OVERTIME available!! NO TOUCH Freight!! must have automatic/manual transmission work experience not just licensing or from training and minimum 1 yr commercial driving experience); local runs only - home each night. Drivers do not manually load and unload material on the trucks - our trucks have hydraulics for loading / unloading. Hours are 50 hrs/wk total - start time is 5am-6am depending on preference and company/customer needs; end time is typically 2pm-4pm Mon - Fri with Sat OT available at drivers' preference up to DOT max allowed hours.

Plus $1500 sign-on bonus payable $500 after 3 mo, $500 after 6 mo and $500 after 1 yr. We also offer a $400/quarter drivers' performance incentive

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
• Load and unload cargo
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trip

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
• Commercial driver's license
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic
