Mgr, Risk

The Global Finance Group drives financial strategies based on expert understanding of Lam's breakthrough technologies, the semiconductor market, and the global business environment. They manage our company's financials and relationships with our investor community to ensure we have the strong financial foundation to fuel innovation and growth.

The Risk Manager will work closely with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to provide oversight of global property, casualty, workers compensation, and management liability insurance programs. This role will assist in driving initiatives to define and support the company's risk management philosophy and to build processes and policies that scale with changes in the business.

Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Risk Manager will be responsible for:

• Advocate, prioritize, and steward risk improvement recommendations and projects across the enterprise.
• Provide oversight of the global property, casualty, workers compensation, and management liability insurance programs including (but not limited to) renewal preparation, claims administration, and budget management.
• Commercial contract review and negotiation of insurance related provisions.
• Ensuring commercial contract playbooks and insurance guidelines reflect industry best practices and insurance broker recommendations.
• Coordination and delivery certificates of insurance to ensure contractual compliance.
• Provide stakeholder management of cross-functional teams that include Accounting, Legal, HR, Facilities, and Global Operations on insurance and risk management priorities.
• Developing new risk reporting, risk analytics, and risk dashboards.
• Supporting the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer in the management of relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party claims processors.
• Support other risk management initiatives as they arise.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10 years' experience with global property insurance and/or insurance industry-related work experience involving clients with a global footprint.
• Solid understanding of insurance language, renewal procedures, and claims management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both cross-functionally and independently.
• Strong analytical ability to analyze solutions presented by brokers and carriers.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of common software packages. Fluency with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Very strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and to act with discretion and judgment.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations.

• Risk Management Certification such as ARM, CRM, etc. isa plus.
• Experience with visualization software such as Power BI is a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
