Job Description The College of Education and Human Development at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer II / Teaching Assistant Professor position in the Counselor Education Program to begin in Fall 2025. Responsibilities include some or all of the following: (a) assessment director and/or liaison for CACREP accreditation, (b) teaching graduate courses in counseling, (c) providing clinical supervision, (d) providing academic/track specific advising, (e) serving on master's and doctoral students graduate committees, (f) engaging in program-related grant writing, (g) serving as a core faculty team member, (h) participating in counselor education program service and leadership, (i) engaging in local and professional service, and (j) serving on program, department, college, and/or university level committees. Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee's spouse or domestic partner. The mission of the Counselor Education Program is to educate competent, culturally aware, ethical counselors who will provide exceptional services in both public and private settings to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse society.
