SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None but may manage a team in the future. Job Summary: Centier Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Syndicator to structure, arrange, and manage loan syndications for large commercial lending transactions. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with partner banks and institutional lenders, ensuring the successful distribution of syndicated loans, and supporting the bank's overall commercial lending strategy. The position is hybrid, offering flexibility while requiring collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Loan Syndication & Structuring: * Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of syndicated/participated commercial loan transactions. * Identify and engage potential syndicate lenders, ensuring optimal deal participation. * Collaborate with internal relationship managers and credit teams to assess loan syndication opportunities. * Develop term sheets, credit presentations, and syndication strategies aligned with bank policies. Relationship Management & Business Development: * Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and national bank partners, institutional investors, and other financial institutions. * Act as the primary liaison for syndicate banks, handling inquiries, negotiations, and ongoing deal management. * Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to optimize syndication efforts. Deal Execution & Compliance: * Oversee loan documentation, due diligence, and closing processes for syndicated transactions. * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal credit policies, and risk management standards. * Work closely with legal, compliance, and credit teams to facilitate smooth transaction execution. Portfolio & Risk Management: * Monitor syndicated loan performance and provide periodic updates to internal stakeholders. * Assist in managing the bank's exposure within the syndicated loan portfolio. * Support loan workouts and restructurings as needed in collaboration with credit teams. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Strong knowledge of loan syndication structures, credit analysis, and financial modeling. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and lending teams. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred. * 5+ years of experience in commercial lending, loan syndications, or structured finance. * Established network within the commercial banking and lending syndication market.
