Job Summary

The Team Leader - IT Network Infrastructure, is responsible for leading a group of technology clerks, technicians, analysts and consultants that oversee the Operations of the enterprise's strategic technology investments, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in the capital portfolio execution. The Operations Team Lead provide direct oversight to system monitoring, maintenance and restoration of existing communications and connectivity fleet assets. The Team Leader - IT Network Infrastructure will be responsible for preparing and tracking work plans, administrating the performance management process, and the coaching and development of team members.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a technical team of infrastructure planning analysts, consultants, clerks and technicians that are responsible for the concept development, project execution, administration, monitoring, support and restoration of the infrastructure enterprise network.
  • Ensure staff is knowledgeable and cross-trained in the operational support of telecom and infrastructure technologies.
  • Manage a team of professionals with 24/7 response responsibilities
  • Assist and lead incident command of telecom and network system events
  • Maintain a culture of compliance with mentoring, coaching and oversight of network compliance requirements.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key vendors, design consultants, and internal IT and utility business units.
  • Define infrastructure enterprise network strategies consistent with company and department standards. Align team with IT strategies, goals, initiatives and priorities.
  • Understand and follow corporate and departmental policies and processes and foster a process-driven IT organization.
  • Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with other infrastructure teams to assess and understand technical specifications and business requirements for new systems or system enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems/Technology or Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of IT Infrastructure experience (network, telecom, etc.)
  • Must have strong communication and decision-making skills and a strong customer focus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal and/or informal leadership experience
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
  • Experience working with 3rd party software and hardware vendors

End Date: 03/24/2025

Pay Range Minimum: $101,743.46

Pay Range Maximum: $152,615.06

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
