JOB SUMMARY Serves as an administrator for Supply Chain Management and works closely with Human Resources, Budget and Financial departments. Manages the daily administrative operations of the department by coordinating effectively with other parts of the institution and establishing effective working relationships with organizational peers. Provides a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers. Works under minimal direction to provide coordination and supervision of major and very complex activities, programs, functions, or projects for large office, department, or division. Experience creating and editing Powerpoint presentations, executive meeting facilitation and supporting department budgets is strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or directly related field.
- Experience
6 years related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. May consider additional related experience in lieu of degree.
JOB DUTIES
- In collaboration with Department Administration, as well as the Office of Human Resources, administers human resource activities.
- Responsible for ensuring effective onboarding and orientation of all new staff, within established departmental guidelines.
- Supervises division administrative and/or accounting support staff.
- Coordinates and supervises major or very complex programs, activities and special functions, including establishing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures; activity, or special function; interprets policies and procedures; ensures timely and efficient operations to accomplish objectives.
- May prepare, justify, monitor and administer budgets for the department and its related programs including expense and income tracking, monthly account balances.
- Coordinates budget for activity, program, or project following appropriate accounting practices and procedures to ensure all work of activity or program is within budget; prepares and submits reports using spreadsheet and word processing software as required.
- May serve as the primary liaison for business activities within the division. Demonstrates commitment to improving service and product quality for internal and external customers. In collaboration with Department Administration, designs systems and processes which enhance efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and ensure the integrity of the department.
- May develop and deliver special presentations.
- May assist in the development of both long and short-term strategic business plans for the department.
- Interfaces with Information Resources to resolve computer hardware and software problems. May recommend and oversee the installation of new software packages.
- Within departmental guidelines, provides administrative oversight for department education programs, including recruitment, orientation, training, records management, as well as annual Compliance refreshers.
- Coordinates the departments physical resource utilization, including space planning, budget and inventory control, purchasing and utilization of department resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
