Oak Plains Academy (a UHS Company)

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories.

Oak Plains Academy is currently recruiting for a full time Maintenance Technician to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals.

Qualifications

Education:	High school graduate or equivalency preferred. Trade or vocational school training preferred.
Experience:	2 - 3 years experience in plant operations preferred.
License/Certification:	N/A
Skills:	Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and landscape maintenance. Must have a driving record that meets Oak Plains Academy's policies. Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office suite for administration of maintenance tasks.
Physical Requirements:	Heavy demand; walking, standing, bending, lifting objects in excess of 50lbs, pushing and pulling. Must be familiar with the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
Other:	Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Plant Operations and CEO.

A Maintenance Tech will perform a variety of maintenance duties in and around the facility buildings including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, preventative maintenance and testing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment and machinery. A Maintenance Tech will also assist the Director of Plant Operations in completing tasks, perform related duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.
