The Sr. HR Assistant serves as the first point of contact for routine employee inquiries, collaborating with HR staff to ensure timely resolution. Responsibilities include organizing and coordinating HR-related events, including meetings, health fairs, wellness activities, benefits open enrollment, training workshops, employee engagement activities, and community charity volunteer events. The role assists with candidate recruiting correspondence to include interview confirmations agendas, travel arrangements, and regret letters. Additionally, the Sr. HR Assistant administers Applicant Tracking System processes, including generating job requisitions, screening resumes, dispositioning applicants, routing resumes, and generating offer letters, etc. The position facilitates new hire orientations, coordinates drug and alcohol tests, and ensures data integrity by preparing and submitting Electronic Personnel Input Forms (EPIF's) in collaboration with HRIS team. Other duties include initiating FMLA process in coordination with the Leave of Absence team, and providing back-up support for other HR Assistants/Coordinators across divisions as needed. The role also involves various administrative and clerical tasks, including typing general correspondence, copying, filing, distributing information, preparing packets, and assisting with special projects as assigned. Occasional travel to field and division offices may be required (10%).


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are essential
  • Must be customer service-oriented and capable of handling confidential information with discretion
  • Requires flexibility, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and tactfully with employees at all levels
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must exercise sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be open to future relocation to other U.S. division locations based on business needs
