Summary of Position

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including implementation, integration, technical services, and support, all while conforming to the requirements of the business. This position handles all aspects of and systems including implementation, installation, maintenance, and data integrity, computing hardware peripherals.

Key Job Elements



  • Engage with system administration activities and drive issues to resolution.
  • Administer monitoring for overall systems performance to proactively identify potential issues and incident response.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all implemented computer systems and update for each system change.
  • Implement updates and patching for all systems and remediate system vulnerabilities.
  • Racking and cabling of new systems.
  • Participate in on-call duties.
  • Assist in administration, maintain backup systems, and other backup storage technologies.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in technology related field of studies.
  • 2+ years of related experience in enterprise-level network design and deployment.
  • Server administration skills in both Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with Nagios, Solarwinds, or related systems monitoring and device management.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure.
  • Powershell or other scripting skills.
  • Experience with VMWare or other Hypervisors.
  • Systems Backup, SCCM, Intune, Active Directory knowledge are all a plus.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to provide escalated support.
  • Strong background, knowledge and working experience wide range of IT technologies, security architecture and system life-cycle phases preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a business environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-past environment and demonstrates flexibility to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Drive for Results (Service, Quality, and Continuous Improvement) - Ensure procedures and processes are in place that lead to delivery of quality results and continually reassess their effectiveness to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Communication - Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Teamwork - Commitment to the successful achievement of team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
  • Customer Service Focus - Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding client/customer needs and then delighting the client/customer by exceeding service and quality expectations.
  • Travel up to 10% if required.
