What you'll be doing...

This leadership role is all about taking charge of Verizon's credit and fraud strategies, while ensuring customers have a positive experience across all Verizon Business Units. You are someone who thinks outside the box to find the best growth opportunities - ones that match up with both Verizon

products and financial goals.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Creation, execution, and ongoing oversight of comprehensive strategies designed to leverage rapidly changing market conditions across our Consumer Line of Business. These strategies aim to achieve an ideal balance between growth and financial risk across all Verizon products, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and operational efficiency;

  • Developing and implementing cohesive strategies and initiatives that not only achieve, but ideally surpass, the planned fraud loss targets. These strategies should prioritize a customer-centric approach, ensuring that fraud prevention measures do not negatively impact the overall customer experience. Additionally, a focus on operational efficiency should be maintained, streamlining processes and procedures to minimize waste and maximize productivity while mitigating fraud losses;

  • Developing and delivering comprehensive control recommendations that strike an optimal balance between mitigating potential risks and preserving a positive customer experience. These recommendations should encompass a broad range of considerations, including proposed changes to the business itself, its underlying systems and processes, as well as shifts in the external environment.

  • Directing, developing and leading an organization of highly diverse skillsets/work experiences. These workgroups are responsible for: Monitoring of the overall credit risk portfolio; providing senior leadership with routine performance intelligence; Identifying emerging fraud and credit risk opportunities as well as threats via advanced analytics; developing appropriate strategies to take advantage of current environmental factors while driving the cross functional and business unit buy-in with business control owners; Planning and implementing response plans; supporting cross-functional needs and highly aggressive timelines;

  • Serving as the risk expert for the Bill-to-Cash organization, as well as all business units and functional groups; developing and providing recommendations on the relative risk associated with proposed changes in the business, its systems, process and external environmental shifts.

What we're looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance/Economics/Applied Mathematic or other related fields. MBA or related advanced degree or certifications preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in multiple risk management fields.

  • 5+ years of experience in highly technical fields.

  • Proven skills in creative process and system design which result in rapid implementation and lower investment cost.

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, particularly for technical and complex concepts, with the ability to tailor communication approaches for audiences from various functions and levels within the organization.

  • Ability to maintain strong relations with Cross-Functional Teams and External Partners.

  • Proven leadership of large teams with the ability to motivate employees with highly diverse skill sets and work experiences.

  • Extensive management experience and ability to meet aggressive deadlines, while providing strategic direction and governance to multiple complex projects simultaneously and working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

  • Motivated, self-starter and highly collaborative, able to produce high quality results in high pressure situations in a dynamic environment.

Where you'll be working
