Base Compensation: $25/hr

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

This position supports our SDC business. Our Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for cultivation and qualification of spore crops used in biological indicators. All work must be performed using company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) following GMP and industry standards.

Duties/Responsibilities



  • Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
  • Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
  • Complies with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
  • Operation of manufacturing and quality release testing equipment for spore crops and biological indicators.
  • Timely delivery of work orders for spore suspension product manufacture.
  • Adherence to and understanding of SOPs and participation in modification of SOPs to maintain compliance to standards.
  • Excellent practice of aseptic technique.
  • Ability to convey scientific information through technical writing.
  • Meet good documentation practices per the quality system.
  • Comply with safety and lab cleanliness standards.
  • Cultivation and qualification of spore crops for use in biological indicators.
  • Collect and analyze data generated per applicable procedures or protocols to monitor crop performance and crop performance in product trends over time.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience/Education



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred


Knowledge and Skillsets Required

Mathematical Skills:



  • Basic algebra computational skills.
  • Understanding of scientific notation.


Computer Skills:



  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge working with Microsoft Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
