About Ameren Illinois Ameren Illinois provides electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service. Every day, we deliver electricity to 1.2 million electric and 816,000 natural gas customers in central and southern Illinois. We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities. About The Position The Regional Staff Associate supports the Ameren Illinois Substation Relay Services, including Substation/Relay Superintendent, Supervisors, Engineers, Mechanics and Technicians. Key responsibilities include:
- Track and complete customer complaint and periodic test orders in accordance with Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) guideline compliance by maintaining accurate records and assisting Illinois Metering supervision with in-person triennial audits.
- Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance by maintaining accurate records and assisting Illinois Metering supervision with bi-annual audits.
- Verify accuracy of all Electric Meter Worksheets (EMW) by reviewing service drops, auxiliary equipment, billing multipliers, and meter codes in CSS to ensure compliance with internal and external auditing as well as billing accuracy. Ensuring the EMW is completed in the correct order and within the ICC and SOX compliance deadlines via the EMW Power-Bi application.
- Work with field and meter engineering to obtain accurate voltage information when discrepancies are found and report to CAD for billing adjustments, as needed.
- Recognize meter points, meter program IDs, and rates associated with various meter types including: NSM, AMI, BTM, RTP, Shark, SEL-735, bi-directional, and wholesale meters.
- Monitor monthly department customer complaint test and periodic test activity totals and furnish reports for Illinois Metering Superintendent and Director.
- Monitor weekly department EMW 45 Day Report activity totals and furnish reports for Illinois Metering Supervisors and Superintendent.
- Monitor daily customer Fast/Slow Meter test activities and report to CAD for billing adjustments, as needed.
- Track, monitor, and report monthly department Temperature Threshold Exceeded Events (TTEE) for Illinois Metering Superintendent, including follow-up on any repairs needed in the field.
- Initiate and process electric meter work orders, including removals, sets, exchanges, and miscellaneous requests for various meter types including both self-contained and transformer-rated NSM, AMI, BTM, RTP, Shark, SEL-735, bi-directional, and wholesale meters.
- Interact with field personnel to ensure consistent and accurate completion of field workflow and department operations, including dispatching of orders for metering activities.
- Complete all polyphase metering work daily, including RTC/OAS Comp Pending reports and WFMs.
- Maintain and update Electric Metering roster and chains within the ARCOS system as well as send weekly reports to the field and Illinois Metering Supervision.
- Process payroll data for a team of electric meter technicians, including monitoring overtime, training, leave, and job changes in compliance with multiple collective agreements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including meter technicians, linemen, billing, operations support personnel, engineers, and customer service representatives, via phone, email, and Teams requests.
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three or more years of relevant experience required.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Must have ability to prioritize and properly complete a wide variety of requests and assignments. Working knowledge of EMPRV, TRIS, IPROCUREMENT, P-CARD, SAFETY SCORECARD, ACO as well as Excel, Access, and Word preferred. Positive attitude, desire to learn and flexibility to meet constantly changing demands also required. Minimal travel required.
Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Compensation Range: $52,200.00 - $75,700.00
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
