APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Smeal College of Business is seeking a Student Services Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative functions and student support across six professional graduate programs. This position works primarily with the Student Success Team but will also collaborate with other teams in the Smeal Professional Graduate Programs (PGP) department (e.g., Career Services and Admissions) and other departments on campus to ensure the smooth operation of student-related services and programming. The Student Services Assistant will work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing organization and multi-tasking skills, to complete this position's responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
The primary events the Student Services Assistant will be coordinating include award ceremonies, workshops, career fairs, orientation programs, and the PGP Master's graduation celebration. The Student Services Assistant will work with various software, including Microsoft Office 365 and 25Live (scheduling platform), as well as the following which are specific to Penn State:
Education and Experience: This position will be filled at the level of Senior Support, which requires a minimum of an Associate degree plus four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must also have experience with creating, updating, and maintaining spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel (or similar software); data entry; and calendar scheduling. Other Qualifications:
