POSITION TITLE: Supervisor, Payroll
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to oversee and drive the success of business objectives including safety, people, customers, and financials. This position oversees functional strategies that result in accomplishing business goals, meeting department financial goals, being a successful manager of a team, and creating a reliable customer experience. The ideal candidate has proven success supervising within a Payroll department, strong people and process management skills, with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Oversees payroll preparation and processing including running the weekly check run, direct deposit transfers, payroll tax administration, and processing wage garnishments and withholdings
  • Assists with payroll reconciliation and reporting, includes leading W-2 efforts annually
  • Proficient in payroll law, ability to research employee issues, evaluate and determine approaches to take to resolve employee and/or management issues involving payroll
  • Supervises Payroll team members regarding time, attendance, performance, production, quality, training, etc.
  • Advanced technical acumen of Payroll processes, best practices, and team operations
  • Manages the electronic time-keeping system and the entry of payroll data
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion while handling personal and sensitive information in accordance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Oversees adherence to all department and company processes and standards
  • Customer-centric to ensure all team members have a positive experience with the support they receive
  • Provides data and reporting to upper management upon request
  • Contributes to the overall Accounting Scorecard and KPI's to drive department success
  • Upholds ADB's safety culture, leads by example, and drives the philosophy of ZERO throughout the entire organization
  • Engages in ADB's culture pillars and encourages participation and buy-in in all pillars: Community, Wellness, Development, and Inclusion
  • Highly interdependent with other functional teams and operational groups, ensuring strong relationships and collaboration to achieve overall business goals

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • Corporate headquarters is located at: 18777 US Highway 66, Pacific, MO 63069
  • This position operates out of a temperature-controlled office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy/fax, and smartphones


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:



  • 5+ years of technical expertise in Payroll required
  • 2+ year of proven success leading people and processes within a department
  • 1+ year of UKG Pro and UKG WFM experience preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
