The Office of University Communications at the University of Virginia seeks a front-end developer who is passionate about merging the art of web design and programming to showcase UVA Today news stories and multimedia, as well as other marketing content, on our websites and mass email platforms. The successful candidate will be able to help curate a range of varied written and visual news content daily and create beautiful, accessible and frequently interactive web pages and emails that engage our audiences. The front-end developer will be part of a four-person Digital Development and User Experience team and will collaborate with a large, multi-functional group of professionals including news writers, editors, photographers, video producers, designers and marketers, all supporting University Communications' goal to position UVA as a model of excellence in public higher education. University Communications' aim is to inform and inspire our audiences, ensuring the University's impact is widely recognized in our broad UVA community, across the Commonwealth of Virginia and beyond.
