About the unit The pediatric orthopedics team at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital treats a wide range of conditions affecting the bones, joints and muscles of infants, children, and teens. Because their skeletons are still growing, orthopedic issues in children can be quite different than in adults. We expertly diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Areas of our specialization include, but are not limited to Bone Fracture, Clubfoot, Hip Dysplasia, Neuromuscular Disease, Osteosarcoma, Scoliosis, and Spondylolysis About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Responsible for assisting physicians with application and monitoring of various orthopedic devices on all patients that require this service and maintains the overall operation of the cast room. Coordinates the ordering and maintenance of equipment and supplies, in coordination with the Director and Clinical Coordinator. Acts as an educational resource regarding orthopedic equipment.
