Primary Purpose

Offer students a period of paid practical experience in the industry relating to their field of study. This experience is valuable to students as a means of allowing them to experience how their studies are applied in the "real world", as work experience.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of administrative functions and provides administrative support

  • Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings and conference calls

  • Assist in maintenance of supervisors and managers calendars

  • Collects requests for information on voicemails, gives information to callers, and takes dictation

  • Manage and maintain electronic files and hard copies

  • Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations

  • Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports

  • Other duties as assigned

Decision Making Authority
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and to work effectively given general guidance and direction.

  • Works under immediate supervision and escalates complex issues to supervisor/manager.

Job Requirements - Education/Experience Education

HS diploma required. Must be enrolled as either a full time or part time student.

Experience

0-2 years of experience requiredin the field or in a related area

Additional Job Requirements
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain a positive attitude; and solid customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment

Wage: $20.00 / hr
