Overview

Element (formerly Crawford Scientific) is seeking a Field Sales Business Development Manager to cover the South region of the UK, working remotely.

As the UK's leading supplier of chromatography products, training, and technical services, Element prioritizes customer satisfaction, offering fast delivery, excellent after-sales support, and expert technical assistance across 100,000+ products.

In this role, you will collaborate with Business Development Managers, a Technical Specialist, and a Regional Sales Manager. Your key responsibilities include:

Managing and growing existing accounts.
Expanding product offerings within current customer portfolios.
Acquiring new customers to drive business growth.



Responsibilities

    Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements related to Quality, Health, and Safety.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to drive sales.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email; conduct weekly field visits and attend exhibitions.
  • Identify and research potential new customers.
  • Close sales independently and support sales generated by other team members.
  • Prepare clear and professional emails, sales proposals, and quotations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Technical teams to enhance sales efforts.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activities, forecasts, customer feedback, and industry trends.


Skills / Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Chromatography or related field, or experience in a chromatography lab or market.
  • Field sales experience or a strong aptitude for a sales role.
