Position Summary

For Testing Purposes Only

The Senior Administrative Manager is responsible for departmental financial and organizational operations and serves as the liaison between SHIELD's Human Resources and other departments and the public. Responsible for determining SHIELD-wide policy, procedures, and services. In conjunction with the SHIELD Director, develops annual budget, approves financial expenditures, and ensures the department maintains budget & financial compliance. The position ensures effective and efficient delivery of quality and timely services, coordinates complex administrative matters, resolves escalated issues, supervises staff, drives a culture of administrative excellence, and champions diversity and inclusivity throughout the department.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area

Required Experience:
5+ years Progressive administrative experience and responsibilities (e.g., managing administrative services/processes, budgets, and staff) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Financial and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Self-initiated and motivated Effective interpersonal communication and leadership skills Proven verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively in a multi-dimensional or hyperspace environment. Computer proficiency in office related software Technical experience developing database and spreadsheet to support departmental functions Demonstrated ability to make sound judgment Ability to carry out the management mission of an academic unit in a complex environment Ability to work in a deadline driven environment and manage multiple priorities.

For Testing Purposes Only

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
