Overview

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for the primary support of accounts payable. This position will play a crucial role in the daily upkeep of accounts payable, fielding phone calls from vendors and Element laboratories, taking questions from other A/P staff, preparing cash reports on a weekly basis, inter-company settlement and analysis.

Location: based in our Blue Ash, Ohio GBS site - hybrid: 3 days in office / days remote



Responsibilities

    Collaborates with the AP Manager and AP team members.
  • Collaborates with the Accounts Payable Manager for final performance reviews.
  • First level of escalations for all AP issues (Lab, Vendor or AP Team Issues)
  • Facilitates correct and timely preparation of the Weekly Cash forecast report to the Director of Finance for review/approval.
  • Review all accounts payable journals and monthly Aging Analysis
  • Inter-company remittance distribution
  • Maintains all accounts payable credit card and critical vendor spreadsheets.
  • Issues stop payments if needed with the banks and confirms returned funds before resubmitting new payment.
  • Submits all payment files to the bank.
  • Ensures POS pay files are approved daily in all banks.
  • Ensures that all positive pay files are uploaded to the bank daily.
  • Ensures that all banking information is updated as requested by vendors.
  • Reviews and approves or rejects vendor updates in D365.
  • Reviews and approves or rejects payments journals in D365.
  • Assists in training other AP reps as needed.
  • Approves all time off requests.
  • Reviews timecards to ensure accuracy to approve.
  • All other duties assigned.


Skills / Qualifications

  • Effective prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated problem resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of accounting and financial principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to function as part of a team.

Experience:

  • One year of experience in an accounting office: OR a minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-site/location accounts payable support.
  • At least two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
