Responsibilities include:

• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, obtain medication histories in an accurate, professional and efficient manner for patients newly admitted to the hospital while in the Emergency Department.
• Contacting community pharmacies, outpatient providers, and patient family members to obtain needed medication information and coordinate care.
• Complete assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs
• Performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current Pharmacy Technician License.
• Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
  
  

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• 5 years inpatient experience preferred
