The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a Multicultural Program Coordinator to provide leadership, education, and advocacy for youth with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions (SOGIE). As a key member of the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations (OIIR), this role serves as the co-chair of the SOGIE Committee and LGBTQ+ Advisory Chair, working to ensure culturally responsive services for SOGIE youth in both close custody and community settings. This position focuses on education, advocacy, and support, developing statewide strategies to enhance programming and cultural services for youth and families. You will collaborate with community organizations, facilitate multicultural celebrations, and train staff to recognize and respond to the needs of underrepresented youth. As part of this role, you will work in a close custody facility, where security and supervision are a top priority.
