Video Studio Production Associate

Job Posting:

This role combines the skills of both video editing and videography for a complete production associate within our internal production studio. The ideal candidate for this role successfully combines technical expertise, studio/production experience, and creativity to deliver content aligned to our marketing strategy. In editing, the ideal candidate will be post-production savvy, inclusive of overall editing capabilities and have a base understanding and application of animation effects in the editing process. In videography, the ideal candidate can identify technical solutions, work within operating constraints, and manage shoots to their effective conclusion. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shoot video content by directing talent and adhering to shoot/production briefs, brand guidelines, and retailer guidelines
• Edit postproduction video, as applicable, in partnership with video editor and animator
• Participate in shoot planning with cross functional teams and provide editorial guidance in pre-shoot meetings, on site / on set, and in post-production
• Assist in maintaining a professional on-set environment inclusive of lighting, backdrops, and all video equipment
• Assist in maintaining video equipment and lighting and convey future equipment needs to manager

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's degree (BS, BA, BFA) or equivalent degree in communications, media, film, or multimedia
• 5 years experience in digital and multi-media, including videography, or related field
• Hands-on video editing experience with graphics, color correction, sound, audio mixing, digital editing tools and software (Adobe CC a plus)
  • Experience with Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema4D a plus
  • Experience and interest in basic VFX work in Nuke Studio, Autodesk Maya is a plus
• Videography experience in a commercial video and/or studio environment with proficiency of 4K video equipment and lighting
  • Experience in image-driven categories a pluc
• Current portfolio and reel demonstrating a track record of success in videography and editing

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Transport up to 75 pounds of equipment on rolling carts
• Climb and stand on ladders
• Ability to do some multi-day travel for content creation
