SUMMARY
-
Individual performs all general clerical functions necessary to support the assigned unit. Individual will communicate in person, via phone and email with clients, attorneys, Court and other County departments, as well as Domestic Relations staff. The individual must be able to multi-task, work independently, be perceptive and have a sound knowledge and adherence to the Domestic Relations Section's office policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will represent the Domestic Relations Section and the County of Montgomery with professionalism at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in daily operations of the unit including but not limited to the establishment and enforcement of child support orders.
- Case Processing including but not limited to:
- Processing complaints for support;
- Updating case information and records;
- Importing electronic documents into case records;
- Converting paper documents to electronic records.
- Docketing and processing of court orders.
- Data entry.
- Administrative tasks.
- Processing and distribution of daily mail.
- Financial recordkeeping.
- Written and verbal communication with clients, attorneys, other County departments, other government agencies and other court jurisdictions.
- Interact with clients in person as necessary.
- Serve as a lead when necessary.
- Maintain unit records and statistics.
- Attend training sessions and workshops.
- Adhere to all security and safety directives.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, if required by unit.
- Perform other duties/related work as assigned.

- Ability to learn and maintain working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations that impact Child Support Enforcement including but not limited to the Code of Federal Regulations, PA Rules of Civil Procedure, Intergovernmental Support laws, Hague, and the Cooperative Agreement.
