Material Transportation Coordinator
Overview:
Olgoonik is seeking a highly skilled Material Transportation Coordinator to manage and execute the transportation and shipping of materials in support of operational logistics. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inventory management systems, DoD material receipt procedures, hazardous material handling, and transportation reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process transportation requests and shipping documentation with no supervision, ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy regulations.
- Maintain and update inventory records using R-Supply and associated barcode systems.
- Summarize transportation transactions and status for departmental logistics management reporting.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Operate Government Light Service Support Vehicles and 6K forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, ensuring accuracy in shipments and receipts.
- Work with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) to generate reports, track shipments, and manage documentation.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and best practices for material handling.
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience with inventory management systems, including R-Supply and associated barcode systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with DoD material receipt accounting procedures.
- At least 2 years of experience summarizing transportation transactions and providing status reports for logistics management.
- At least 2 years of experience handling hazardous materials and understanding transportation requirements.
- Recent (within the last 5 years) and at least 1 year of experience processing transportation requests and shipping documentation with no supervision at a high-functioning level.
- Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Valid OSHA-certified license to operate Government Light Service Support Vehicles and 6K forklifts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- SECRET Level Required
- Must have a current United States Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to maintain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance.

Work Environment:
Works in shop/warehouse environment. Work involves repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Work is of a physical nature and requires the incumbent be able to lift 50 lbs overhead and/or repetitively.
Pay$30.31 per hour.
