University Advancement at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Director of Development. The Assistant/Associate Director will represent the University of Virginia, its programs, policies, personnel, traditions, philosophy, and objectives to all constituent groups. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant/Associate Director will focus on fundraising efforts to support programs related to the priorities of the School of Architecture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and manage a portfolio of current and prospective major-gift level donors ($100K+) and move them towards giving levels that achieve annual and long-range fundraising goals of the University. The Assistant/Associate Director will be expected to create personalized strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individuals within their portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does require traveling to attend meetings and programs. The successful candidate must be able to travel frequently domestically and be available for occasional evening and weekend work. The ideal candidate will live within driving distance. This is an Exempt level, benefited position. Anticipated Hiring Range: Assistant Director: $60,000 - $67,000 commensurate with education and experience Associate Director: $70,000 - $77,000 commensurate with education and experience.
