Summary:
The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for profitably growing our Hershey Salty Snacks Sam's Club business. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, the CSE Sam's Club with be responsible for providing critical analytical and planning support for the overall Hershey Salty Snacks Sam's Club business, which includes, but not limited to: , customer strategy work, business insights, sales and competitive intelligence, sales reporting in collaboration with Category Management, and trade promotion management planning.
Responsibilities:
* Effectively collaborate with customer to optimize revenue, develop the joint business plan, and ensure retail execution to optimize customer potential.
*Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, waste, sell thru and sales activity margin targets by simulating and planning volume, pre- and post-event analysis, as well as displaying core competencies and behaviors. This includes judiciously managing and allocating trade funds to achieve profitable sales growth.
* Effectively utilize Hershey's and customer's analytical tools and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results, in conjunction with category management.
* Build and maintain appropriate sales plans in a trading and forecast management system.
* Manage trade fund budget to include clearing deductions and processing invoices.
* Conduct reviews of business and monitor weekly sales performance with the Category Management team to understand the results vs the planned metrics and to uncover future business opportunities.
* Lead everyday line review process with the customer buying team to negotiate and sell our strategy in support of key innovation/strategic growth platforms and aligned JBP objectives.
* Provide category analysis and consumer insights to customers, as well as other category tools/consultation with Category Management and Shopper Insights partnership.
* Collaboratively work with cross-functional teams to create category and program-specific selling stories to be utilized by retail team at store level.
* Achieve appropriate levels of account penetration.
* Plan and execute bi-weekly customer meetings.
* Manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including SRGM, Category Management, Sales Finance, Sales Strategy, Omni, and Customer Supply Chain.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree required.
* Experience: At least 7-10 years relevant sales experience
* Previous applicable commercial experience considered
* Must currently live in or willing to relocate to the greater Bentonville area to work at the Hershey Bentonville sales office.
* Overall team player with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Strong understanding of category management/shopper insights practices and principles
* Exceptional leadership, presentation, strategy development, communication and influencing skills, both inside the organization and with the customer.
* Strong financial acumen with ability to understand and leverage sales P&L information
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
