Overview
We are looking for an exceptional individual who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments and possesses the necessary abilities to supervise, track, and maintain control of operations to be an Airport Dispatch Coordinator (Coordinator SR). In this role, you will be working with a large team, consisting of over 300 students, and 70 instructors and aircraft maintenance personnel. The ideal candidate must excel in both team and independent work, possess strong organizational skills, hold meticulous attention to detail, and have the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Anticipating tasks that need to be accomplished and proactively completing them are key qualities we value. We need an individual who will confidently step up, take charge, and effectively execute their responsibilities with confidence and efficiency.

Position will work 40 hours per week, working Tuesday - Saturday.

Responsibilities
50% Oversee the dispatch desk operations, effectively managing logistical challenges associated with ramp opera:
  • Make necessary adjustments to flight schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Help with various dispatch duties, including tracking aircraft, coordinating ramp out flights, calling for fuel, moving aircraft, answering phones, handling radio calls, giving tours, and processing PayPal payments.

10% Dispatch Supervisor (10-12 hourly employees):
  • Recruit, train, and schedule dispatch staff members.
  • Approve and manage the payroll for the dispatch team.

20% Scheduling:
  • Serve as a backup Scheduler when needed.
  • Schedule flights during weekends.

20% Clerical Duties:
  • Manage certificates and documents:
  • Scan and upload certificates for all students and staff.
  • Assist instructors with scanning and uploading documents as required.

Create and maintain student files:
  • File certificates and documents promptly and accurately.
  • Schedule department events that use hangar and/or other facilities at the airport.

Perform data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy:
  • Post daily student flight fee payments.
  • Enter fuel charges in the excel Fuel Record.
  • Process open purchase order invoices in the Ez-Buy payment system.
  • Set up open purchase orders annually.
  • Submit invoices daily for payment.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Six years of relevant experience; or an associate degree plus four years of experience; or a bachelor's degree plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
