TSTC Benefits TSTC Retirement Plans Employee Discount Program Job Description: TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students.Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments, and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences. Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC. This a Waco-based, on campus position requiring 1500+ flight hours. Anticipated salary range is $78-$90k with full State benefits. Salary will be commensurate with experience. There is a potential to be eligible for an additional semester retention bonus. Faculty will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community. * Be FAA Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument, and demonstrate competency to instruct Instrument ground with Up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements. * Show a willingness and ability to mentor and perform training at or above FAA standards, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the highest safety standard. * Demonstrate competency in regulatory requirements for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial and CFI certifications. * Strong Interpersonal communication skills and professionalism. * Industry experience. * Commercial License, and current Certified Flight Instructor Certification. Preferred Skills, knowledge, and certifications or licenses * Be flexible to meet industry needs and FAA regulatory changes. * Demonstrate a high level of Aeronautical Decision Making skills. * Demonstrate competency in Aircraft systems and aeronautical knowledge. * Five years of industry experience. * Current Medical, MEI, AGI, IGI, and UAS certifications. Education and Experience Required * Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology's teaching discipline. * Verifiable professional experience may be accepted in lieu of other requirements as approved by the Vice Chancellor who oversees academic programs, or his/her designee.* Preferred * Bachelor's degree in a closely related teaching discipline Equal Opportunity Employer Texas State Technical College (TSTC), as an equal opportunity employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination.
