Job Description
Danfoss is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented International Tax Manager to join the North America Income Tax Reporting & Compliance team. This position, reporting to the Tax Director, US will play a key role in Danfoss's US international tax compliance and consulting and responsible for completion of the US International tax filings. As Danfoss is a Danish owned group and the US Company has foreign-owned subsidiaries, the Senior International Tax Analyst will work in coordination with Group Tax members across the globe.

Location is flexible, however Iowa, Maryland, and Minnesota are preferred. Depending on location, travel to a Danfoss location may be required. Some domestic travel to Danfoss locations may be necessary and possibly one international trip a year
Job Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of US international forms including the Forms 5471, 8858 and 1118s along with required elections and disclosures.
* Preparation and review of quarterly and annual U.S. international (subpart F, BEAT, GILTI, foreign tax credit) calculations
* Lead tax audits on US International tax issues, including inquiries and notices.
* Maintain supporting calculations and documentation of earnings and profits pools, tax pools, PTEP, and U.S. tax basis for foreign subsidiaries and/or branches
* Analyze and calculate taxable distributions
* Research related to US and Canadian international tax issues
* Review US and Canadian transfer pricing documentation including local files
* Support Group Transfer Pricing with monitoring, controversies and audit support of for the Americas' region
* Support M&A projects, including tax due diligence and post-acquisition integration
* Provide timely assistance and support to other departments or operations on tax related matters and their potential impact
* Monitor and analyze final and proposed US International tax legislation
* Identify opportunities for tax planning which may impact federal tax filing positions, including US-inbound and outbound tax planning support for international operations including repatriation strategies, foreign tax credit optimization and local country tax planning opportunities
* Prepare and review Canadian corporate income tax returns including Canadian International tax forms, required elections and disclosures
* Train, mentor and develop other members of the North American Income Tax Team in US International tax issues
Background & Skills
* 4-7 years of tax experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or industry
* Bachelor's degree or higher; CPA preferred, Masters in Taxation preferred
* Experience in financial reporting and domestic compliance for U.S. international tax matters, including Subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, and repatriation of foreign earnings is a must
* Experience in US-inbound, Canadian income tax and Transfer Pricing are a plus
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to collaborate as part of a team
* People management experience
* Resourcefulness and adaptability; self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to present and explain complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders
* Proficiency with Excel; experience with Thompson Reuters, One Source, HFM, and SAP preferred
