https://globalcampus.uark.edu/index.php Summary of Job Duties:The Faculty Support Coordinator provides technical support and training for faculty and is considered a subject matter expert as it relates to the learning management system (Blackboard Learn) and other learning technologies. This position will develop a schedule of training opportunities for faculty; present online, in-person, and hybrid workshops; and provide ongoing learning opportunities in support of learning technology. The Faculty Support Coordinator is part of the Learning Technology Support team in Instructional Design and Support Services at Global Campus. This position works collaboratively with team members and campus partners to support faculty with technology-enhanced courses across all modes of delivery. The position supports the Global Campus mission to create, provide, and support access to educational opportunities that advance Arkansas, shape the future, and build a better world.

The Faculty Support Coordinator must effectively communicate, demonstrate, troubleshoot, and train about various topics in learning technology; blend creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making to positively impact the user experience; de-escalate any negative situations and resolve user questions and concerns. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, including participation in meetings and activities of the department and collaboration with team members and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master's degree or experience equivalent to a master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Demonstrated experience working with education technology solutions, including Blackboard Learn or LMS equivalent

  • Demonstrated experience with preparing training materials and conducting training in various modes

  • Familiarity with course design and pedagogy, as it relates to higher education

  • Experience supporting faculty and/or students in an educational setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience providing technical and procedural support to a diverse clientele with various experience levels

  • Teaching experience in an academic setting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of learning management systems, web-conferencing, lecture capture, streaming video, and other technologies that support instruction

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Teams or equivalent

  • Excellent written communication, interpersonal communication, and troubleshooting skills

  • Extremely detail-oriented and capable of quickly learning new software and technology

  • Understanding of instructional delivery strategies that technology offers to higher education

  • Ability to plan strategically and work independently with efficiency

  • Ability to independently conduct group and individual training in various modes
