Quality Engineer II

Due to growth, we have a Quality Engineer II opening in our Newburyport facility.

The job description pertains to duties associated and included with this particular position, but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to Interpret drawings, standards and specifications
  • Experience in quality measurement techniques
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys and Fish Bone
  • Ability to report and implement corrective actions
  • Must follow AS9100 procedures
  • Must follow NADCAP system requirements
  • Must follow Customer quality requirements
  • Interface with Customers and other Quality Related portals
  • Complete and submit accurate customer FAIR's
  • Interact with the customers, suppliers and our team to effectively resolve quality related issues
  • Perform internal audits
  • Assist with external audits (AS9100, Nadcap, Customer, etc.)
  • Perform quality inspection duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Experience in product measurement techniques
  • Computer Skills/Portals
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • RCCA problem solving
  • Auditing
  • Oral and written communication
  • Ability to properly write accurate, brief and clear reports consistently.
  • Familiar with ECAV and Net-inspect
  • Familiar with APQP

Education and/or Experience:

  • 3 years related experience in quality activities
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with OEM Quality systems
  • Experience with GE, Rolls Royce and/or Pratt & Whitney Aviation
