Overview

As a Specialist on the Liquidity Management (LM) team, you will provide subject matter expertise to functional colleagues and internal stakeholders on specific functional subject areas and regulations, such as liquidity metrics, liquidity remediation, and liquidity methodologies; stress scenario analysis; and the interpretation and management of multiple internal liquidity metrics and US and European regulatory guidance. This is for the effective management of Consolidated US Operations (CUSO) liquidity positions, in line with the Bank's policies and regulatory requirements. You will take ownership of monitoring and managing internal liquidity stress testing (ILST) and interpreting regulatory requirements, such as US liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) and US Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR). You will guide the team in developing responses to regulatory-related examinations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing best practice approaches and building subject matter capability within the function in response to the changing regulatory landscape, You will also manage relationships with relevant stakeholders and collaborate with colleagues across functions to support the execution of the Business strategy and achieve the Bank's and division's objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively monitor and forecast daily liquidity surplus movement in US entities (i.e., broker dealer, commercial & retail bank, New York Branch), propose and execute timely liquidity remediation plan

  • Lead discussions with supporting teams and 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD)/ Three Lines of Defense (3LoD) regarding liquidity position and liquidity models (e.g., movements, drill down analysis, trendline); understand front-to-end data flow for each model and be aware of the adjustments in ILST and other liquidity reporting

  • Own communications with senior management on liquidity topics, prepare and present liquidity updates in management meetings (e.g., ALCO, RiskCo, LRC, Fed calls)

  • Leverage analytical tools, software, and BAU processes to enhance existing monitoring and liquidity management capabilities

  • Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance and review of methodologies for internal liquidity stress test (ILST) including intra-day liquidity risk monitoring/modelling

  • Manage projects and deliverables per Treasury LM's strategic priorities. Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with all relevant firm wide controls and governance standards

How You'll Lead

  • Expertise in using data analytic tools and systems for liquidity forecasting, reporting, and decision making

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and the ability to streamline processes and increase efficiency

  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage financial and operational risks ensuring the Bank remains compliant with regulations

Skills You'll Need

  • Extensive experience in the financial services/banking industry

  • Ideally moderate experience in Liquidity Management or Treasury related functions

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related fields

  • Ability to execute against tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements

  • Understanding of key banking regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Regulation YY, etc.)

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the new York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,300.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
