Overview

The Global Emerging Markets LatAm Structuring team is hiring a VP-level Structurer to continue growing the Business which is going through an expansion. We are looking for a team member to interact with clients, salespeople, and traders and to structure both derivative and financing transactions. Our work involves developing and executing tailored structured products and solutions that meet the specific needs of our Latin American clients, across corporates, financial institutions, and sovereigns.

What You'll Do

  • Engage with clients and develop tailored hedging and financing solutions that meet their needs

  • Assist with or manage the execution of structured transactions including liaising with all the relevant internal control functions for approvals

  • Assist with or manage the legal documentation process for structured transactions with the help of internal and external legal counsel

  • Trade idea generation including the preparation of term sheets, pitchbooks and marketing materials

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory bodies, as well as follow Deutsche Bank internal policies for transaction review and approval

How You'll Lead

  • Manage the execution process of complex and highly structured transactions which requires well-coordinated interactions with the Bank's key control functions such as Legal, Credit, Accounting, Tax and Compliance

  • Daily interaction with the client coverage teams to jointly engage with clients to develop tailored solutions

  • Daily interaction with trading colleagues to jointly agree on terms for structured transactions

Skills You'll Need

  • A strong understanding of fixed income markets

  • Proven experience working with derivative or financing transactions either as a structurer or as legal counsel

  • A strong understanding of the legal framework used in loan transactions and preferably also in derivative transactions

  • Professional proficiency in English and a fluency in Spanish is preferred

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internally

  • The ideal person will be both a problem solver and a good communicator able to present complex ideas in a simple way

  • Strong attention to detail, organized and being able to effectively multitask

  • Team player with the ability to work with team members in different geographical locations

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $175K to $317K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
