General Information:

The College of Integrated Science and Engineering (CISE) is seeking an enthusiastic learner to join our dynamic dean's office staff as an associate for our Industry Partners Program (IPP). This role will primarily contribute to the operation of the successful CISE Industry Partners Program, in addition to supporting the CISE Dean's office.

The ideal candidate will be a professional, dependable team player who is detail-oriented, works well on a collaborative team, and is capable of providing excellent customer service. The position offers candidates the opportunity to expand their skill set in a number of areas, working as part of a team who values initiative, a growth mindset, and the ability to adapt.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Industry Partner Program Associate will work closely with the IPP Director to administer the many aspects of the CISE IPP program, including fall and spring CISE career fairs, Partner events throughout the semester, as well as assisting in connecting Partners with faculty/student project teams. Events may include: Resume reviews, partner panels, information sessions/tables, practice interviews, professional development workshops, technical talks, and interacting with CISE student organizations. The position will report to the IPP Director and will provide administrative and fiscal support for all aspects of the program.

This role will also assist with events including CISE commencement, CISE annual Student Showcase, and CISE Executive Advisory Council meetings. Additionally, the position supports a variety of functions in the CISE dean's office, including processes related to scholarships, academic suspension and probation, president and dean's list notifications, and annual faculty awards.

* Time management and the ability to manage independent assignments
* Demonstrated success meeting deadlines
* Strong attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work as part of a high-performing team
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Considerations:
* Direct customer service experience
* Fiscal and/or budget management experience
* Event planning or facilitation experience
* Familiarity with JMU systems and processes
* Experience working with diverse populations
