Job Description

Danfoss in Shawnee, OK is seeking a Operations Supervisor to join its team. This role is key in leading, facilitating and coordinating the production activities and resources established within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations, while maintaining safety standards.

The Operations Supervisor will report daily out of the Shawnee, OK facility and report directly to the Operations Manager.Support for work authorization cannot be provided for this position. Relocation may be available.



Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.




  • Lead, facilitate and coordinate production activities and resources per established practices and/or policies within assigned job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Maintain a positive employee working environment.
  • Clearly communicate expectations and consistently holds self and employees accountable for their performance.
  • Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service and continuous improvement in operating profits.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and key intra-company people to effectively manage the operation for best results.
  • Ensure through training and daily audits that safe practices are constantly employed throughout the facility.
  • Develops, motivates and coaches team members; acts as an employee advocate and interviews potential new hires.
  • Ensures all functional areas have accurate, timely information.
  • Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization.
  • Reviews order exception reports to identify root cause and takes appropriate corrective action.
  • Assists in the creation of training plans and programs and promotes cross-training opportunities.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.




  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, 2 years of manufacturing experience and 1-year supervisory experience in a Lean/Continuous Improvement Philosophy Environment or in lieu of degree possess 8 years of manufacturing experience and 2 years supervisory experience
  • Experience working with Lean and Continuous Improvement processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization (verbally and written)
  • Experience working in an ERP system is preferred; working knowledge of SAP One ERP is highly preferred
  • Experience ensuring safety and efficiency of manufacturing equipment
  • Proficient in MS Office software platforms (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Familiarity with machining and CNC equipment
  • Lean/Six Sigma training or certifications
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Previous machinist or assembly experience
  • Project Management experience
