We're looking for a Sr. Director of Software Engineering of Identity and Access Management to join Procore's Product & Technology Team. In this Senior Director of Engineering role you will shape the experience of millions of users worldwide as you oversee the development and execution of the next generation of authentication, authorization, and entitlement solutions at Procore.

We're a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems. You'll partner with Product leadership, Architects, and stakeholders to drive development teams and make informed business decisions about the technologies and implementations within these critical foundational domains. Use your knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, grow and lead global teams, and effectively communicate and influence platform stakeholders to help mature and scale Procore's global presence with the entire construction industry.

What you'll do:

  • Utilize your deep technical domain knowledge to craft, own, and advocate an overall engineering strategy of Procore's user authentication, authorization, and entitlement experiences.

  • Own the development and delivery of highly scalable, performant, available, and secure solutions.

  • Collaborate with senior product, architect, UX and business leaders across Procore to execute on a compelling vision.

  • Lead multiple teams, oversee and grow managers, and create a long-lived and globally functional group within the Engineering organization.

  • Mature your organization and create cross-functional impact within Procore using platform-centric models of feature development.

  • Engage with stakeholders to make pragmatic trade-offs on staffing and initiative prioritization.

What we're looking for:

  • Must have experience delivering IAM (authentication/authorization/identity) services for a multi-tenant SaaS in the cloud at a global scale.

  • Must have expert knowledge of core identity and access management domains, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, x509, Fine-Grained Authorization.

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including 8+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.

  • Experience designing and leading medium-scale Engineering organizations that deliver critical infrastructure and services, including strong uptime requirements.

  • Extensive experience delivering and running critical and high demand services at a regional and global scale.

  • Ability to represent and promote complex business or architectural concepts both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated history of building strong cross-functional and customer relationships that foster deep engagements.

  • Ability to navigate a large organization and manage ambiguous and complex scenarios.

  • Proven track record of distilling ambiguity to clarity and direction.

  • Passionate about customers and the problems at Procore we are solving for the construction industry.

QualificationsAdditional Information

Base Pay Range $255,840 - $351,780. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
