Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Physician's Assistant Washington, DC Pay from: $65 per hour MUST: Experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or PA Must have active DC license and DEA license in DC Must have active NPI License Must carry their own malpractice Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of Addiction Medicine Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards Knowledge of HIPAA Policies DUTIES: Conducting virtual consultations with patients, including intake assessments and follow-up appointments Performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status and diagnose mental health disorders Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications to optimize patient outcomes, monitoring for side effects and making adjustments as needed Providing psychotherapy to patients, employing various therapeutic modalities Ordering and reviewing relevant laboratory tests, diagnostic screenings, and assessments to inform treatment planning Managing pre-authorizations and other administrative tasks related to medication management Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care Offering patient education and resources to promote mental health wellness and self-management strategies Maintaining accurate and complete medical records for each patient in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations Ensuring patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations Participating in staff meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities Staying current with advancements in psychiatric best practices, industry developments, and trends Other duties as assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
