Director, Change Readiness Operations
The Change Readiness Operations Director provides strategic direction and oversight for both the Organizational Health and Change Implementation/ Readiness teams with accountability for managing and implementing organizational Implementation through change management to enhance business efficiency and productivity. The team will focus on people and the organizational side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organizational structures. The Change Readiness Operations Director plays a key role in ensuring initiatives meet objectives by increasing stakeholder ownership, employee engagement, adoption, and sustainment. The Change Readiness Operations Director will work to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization, and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.
The Change Readiness Operations Director provides leadership and direction to their respective team to develop skills, organizational capabilities, and ongoing development plans to achieve desired business results.
The Change Readiness Operations Director will focus on supporting the enterprise on their change journeys, establishing a focused partnership between those LOB's/Support Functions and the Implementation team, and ensuring Implementation related guidelines/standards are communicated/ understood by LOB's/Support Functions.
Position Responsibilities:
Readiness Improvement Leadership
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, usage and minimizes resistance.
- Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
- Provide input, document requirements to support the design and delivery of training programs.
- Monitor the adoption, utilization and proficiency of changes.
- Work with project managers to ensure smooth execution of changes and transition.
- Manage pipeline of both Organizational Health and Readiness improvement opportunities for the bank.
- Prepare ongoing Executive communication documents to share progress and findings with Comerica stakeholders.
- Establish direct line of communication/support with executive leadership teams.
Establish Focused Partnership
- Ensure Organizational Health and Readiness Teams are viewed as an asset to the respective LOB's and acts as SME's to partner the change process.
- Reinforce established guidelines/protocols for relationship management and support between Organizational Health and Readiness Team and LOB's/ Support Functions.
- Work collaboratively with executive leadership across all business units to introduce/reinforce process standards / guidelines.
- Lead overall understanding of the enterprise needs and how the Organizational Health and Readiness Teams could pro-actively support those needs.
- Lead effort to create solutions that will maximize matrix environment to enhance efficiencies across the enterprise.
- Pro-actively work with the assigned executive leadership teams to provide feasible process improvement opportunities based on their needs/challenges.
- Lead/ design or process discovery sessions to better understand needs and outline support plan.
- Develop customer project feedback process to ensure the Customer Experience is strong and feedback is used for continuous improvement.
Readiness Transformation Support
- Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
- Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.
- Manage stakeholders and ensure clear and timely communication about the change.
- Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement Remediation plans.
- Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.
- Support knowledge exchange of Organizational Health and Readiness Team's capabilities for across the enterprise.
- Ensure concise and clear communication LOB's needs are passed on to Organizational Health and Readiness Admin/Strategy team.
- Ensure that the assigned enterprise needs align with both Organizational Health and Readiness Teams and enterprise strategy.
Implementation and Sustainment
- Create and manage success measurements to track advocacy, awareness, understanding, engagement, satisfaction, Implementation to achieve long-term sustainability.
- Develop Implementation and Sustainment timeline to ensure milestones are achieved and project accomplishes set objectives.
- Partner with respective LOB's and Finance to monitor project success based on relevant business case.
- Build a framework model for respective LOB's to ensure sustainability and accountability of initiative.
- Develop feedback plan to ensure project levers such as procedures, behaviors and processes are properly developed, provide guidance to pivot to achieve sustained results.
- Ensure project components are fully aligned with Business Unit Performance Metrics to ensure team Implementation aligns with PMP's.
- Pro-actively work with executive leadership on overall deployment of process-related changes.
- Partner with key stakeholders to optimize the solution and achieve a high Implementation rate.
Leadership
- Direct managerial and HR responsibilities and team development for direct reports
- Assign and prioritize tasks, projects, and activities.
- Ensures that the team adheres to approved Organizational Health and Implementation methodologies, communication standards, and process design principles.
- Manage and develop team cultivating a spirit of one team with shared goals and objectives.
- Select, motivate, and retain high performing talent.
- Provide on-going feedback to maximize overall performance.

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance or other related degrees OR with 10 years of progressively responsible experience
- 10 years of experience with enterprise-level change readiness/Implementation activities with proven ability to assess situations, align and understand company goals and adept at translating strategy into execution.
- 10 years of experience in enterprise-level communications and training strategies to support Implementation of change events. Strong focus on managing relationship with senior internal stakeholders.
- 10 years of experience in developing/managing metrics and/or dashboards for overall management reporting needs.
- 10 years of experience in prioritizing multiple requests and obligations to facilitate a smooth, organized workflow, while achieving committed results on time.
- 7 years of experience in engaging with senior internal/external stakeholders and to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages.
- 7 years of experience in creating and communicating strategies at all levels of the organization. Highly effective at building, nurturing, and leveraging relationships.
- 5 years of experience in managing others including leading and motivating large diverse teams.
- Experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services organizations and the regulatory environment (preferred).
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
