Business Intelligence Developer

Essential Functions:

• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and creatively meet those needs with existing reporting tools and applications

• Partner with BI tool visualization experts in an effort to create dashboards and reports using curated data

• Perform requirements gathering to document build plans for themselves or others

• Identify opportunities to transition self-service analytics findings to a broad enterprise user base

• Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business

• Responsible for bringing together information from different source systems into consolidated reporting tools

• Builds strong working relationships with numerous cross functional teams

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Microstrategy or other BI tool development experience a plus

• Understanding of how to construct SQL queries for Business Intelligence tool usage

• Must have problem-solving capabilities

• Self Management - attention to detail, able to prioritize, multi-task and effectively manage time, and able to work independently or within a team environment.

• Must demonstrate drive and initiative and be highly motivated toward company, team, and individual results and maintain a high focus on priorities.

• Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and reference established precedents and policies.

• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized, attentive to detail

• Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer data needs.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.

• Eight years of data analyst and BI visualization experience preferred.
