This position will be a key component of enabling users to perform self-service reporting and delivering complex reporting projects utilizing our data platform. This role will participate in the analysis of user needs and develop required solutions by designing or customizing a given solution in order to optimize operational efficiency. Must develop strong relationships with stakeholders across a wide variety of subject matter areas. There will also be opportunity to provide training and troubleshooting to users. *Essential Functions:* Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions. Act as a resource to other data platform users for best practices and troubleshooting purposes Develop and automate reporting processes to streamline data delivery and reduce manual effort. Interest in developing skills on emerging data and analytics technology Assist in analyzing business requirements and translate into logical and physical designs Perform data quality validation and data profiling to ensure a high level of information integrity Help ensure consistent use of Gordon Food Service Common Business Language during development of analytic applications Partner with development teams in implementing solutions to satisfy the specific needs of BI/Analytics customers on various projects. Work directly with customers to assess business needs and translate the needs into effective technical solutions. Provide innovative solutions to business problems that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences. Provide estimates and plans resources for multiple concurrent projects. Serve as a key contributor to the further development of methodologies, standards, best practices and foster knowledge sharing across the Gordon Food Service analytic teams. Provide leadership in data warehouse BI administration, analytical frameworks, information integrity, common business language, agile development methodologies and standards. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. *Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:* Functional knowledge: BigQuery, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Cloud platforms, Looker Studio, and SQL (Python knowledge a plus). Must have knowledge of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse and Advance Analytic constructs, best practices and strong familiarity with design techniques and project approaches specific to Business Intelligence and Analytics. Must also be able to design and implement business analytic solutions. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and build rapport with internal teams and across all levels of leadership. Project Management: Leads large and small initiatives on time to define new processes and resolve business problems, collaborate across multiple departments and levels within the business. Human Relations: ability to motivate, collaborate, successfully interact and coach others while balancing results with relationships; lead people without having direct responsibility. Self Management: self-directed, motivated, ability to prioritize and manage fluctuations in workload and changes in priority, comfortable with ambiguity. Change Management: remains flexible in a demanding work environment and is able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment/tasks. Understanding of Technology: understanding of technology, systems and applications and how they can improve business performance. Sustaining Business Knowledge & Experience: stays current on trends and developments in areas of expertise. Uses this knowledge to make good business change decisions. Complex Problem Solving: identifies and helps to solve complex problems using related information to develop and evaluate options with advanced analytical solutions. Judgment and Decision Making: considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution that is in the best interest of the company's business objectives. Maintains a high level of integrity: always puts the company's objectives first, conducts analyses and provides solutions based on thoroughness and strict attention to detail. Strong SQL skills with the ability to handle large datasets, exposure to BigQuery a plus. Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud-based data platforms is beneficial. Proficiency in tools such as Apps Script, BigQuery, Google Sheets, Google Cloud platforms, Looker Studio, SQL, and Python will be essential for success in this role as you will be considered a subject matter expert in those areas.
