What You Will Do:

Our Controls and Systems Engineer works with the team that develops advanced controls for Chillers and Smart Building products used by our customers to run their buildings and manage their energy costs. Work as part of a close-knit team of experienced engineers to apply and enhance your engineering development skills to develop applications, products, and tools. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

  • As a member of the Controls & Systems Engineering team, the candidate will work with other engineers in developing, testing, and supporting controls for Chiller Solutions' products.

  • This individual must be an analytical thinker and be disciplined in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles (modeling, simulation, statistics, data acquisition, etc.) to develop and realize equipment control solutions.

  • This individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently but must also be able to interface directly with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and research engineers to develop system-wide solutions.

  • This role will work with peers and specialists across disciplines to meet shared product milestones. In addition, the position will be responsible as lead for complex projects, which will involve implementation, reviewing work products.

What We Look For:

  • A qualified individual shall have a minimum BS in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.

  • Experience working with and producing control and system requirements

  • Exposure to Model-Based System Engineering.

  • Strong team-building skills to support fast-paced product delivery methodologies.

  • Understanding in MATLAB/Simulink tooling with years of experience using model-based design framework in an embedded systems environment, driving best practices to take advantage of automation, optimization, and toolchain evolution.

  • Ability to work successfully in and promote an agile engineering workplace.

  • Additionally, knowledge of commercial HVAC/Building Automation Systems and/or embedded equipment machine controls is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel depending on team requirements.
