Verizon's Connected Experience Team (CEx) plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by providing cutting-edge CX solutions to organizations with unique Customer and Employee experience needs. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of an overall long-term enterprise CEx Practice strategy that continues to keep the practice at the forefront, including broader business development efforts, joint venture considerations, strategic investment recommendations, strategic acquisitions, and divestiture ideas. The key focus will be to develop the organization's strategic plan(s) to ensure its continued successful growth and profitability.

As the Sr. Principal Business Strategy you will need to possess the ability to identify untapped market opportunities and the drive to transform those opportunities into successful solution ideas and consulting services that Verizon can sell to our customers. The CEx Sr. Principal Business Strategy is responsible for the cultivation, development, and qualification of large-scale client transformation services that directly contribute to the CEx practice objectives. This strategic role will see you collaborating with clients, third-party organizations, and a broad range of internal Verizon stakeholders in order to co-create the large and transformational opportunities that are vital to our future growth strategy.

You will need to work with the Practice Leader and stakeholders from across the organization to:

This will include:

  • Conduct Market research: Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs

  • Develop and refine strategies for how the Connected Experiences Practice will improve sales, marketing, and service offerings and develop methods and procedures to optimize the ways the Practice operates and goes to market (including competitive advantage, customer satisfaction, and cost leadership).

  • Identify new lead generation methods and recommend sales strategies

  • Develop a partner ecosystem broadening CEX's service offerings and then develop standard engagement strategies and efficiencies for how these partners are leveraged.

  • Lead initiatives, proposals, and presentations aligned to Connected Experiences growth strategies.

  • Develop recommendations on CEX specific content, messaging and strategies to drive Connected Experiences brand recognition

  • Recommend new technologies and customer outcomes that the CEx team should develop and bring to market

  • Lead and support ideation of marquee innovation partnerships, and evaluate potential new strategic opportunities.

A successful Connected Experiences Sr. Principal of Business Strategy must have expertise in developing vertical-specific use case strategies leveraging Verizon's keys assets. Additionally, they must have expertise working with Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Product Development and be experts at developing presentations and reports and communicating at an executive/board level.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work in industry, in product development or consulting.

  • Six or more years experience in strategy and business development.

  • Consulting experience in the conceptualization, definition, and development of business solutions related to customer experience products, services, and solutions

  • Experience developing integrated Vertical solutions for (Finance, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Utilities)

  • Willingness to travel

  • Experience in technical consulting, strategic advisory, or complex sales supporting Fortune 100 companies at multiple interface levels (C-Level, etc.)

  • Experience with presenting technology strategies and market direction to Fortune 100 clients.

  • Strong experience with business case development

  • Financial analysis experience (ROI, cost analysis, business case development, etc)

  • Excellent presentation and verbal skill set. Must be able to present to CXOs, Sr. Public Officials, and Executive Leadership.

Where you'll be working

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $120,000.00 and $223,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
