Flux Resources is seeking an experienced Land Development Civil Engineering Project Engineer to lead one of our clients teams in delivering innovative and profitable private-sector land development projects, including large-scale residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites. As a key member of our engineering team, you will oversee all aspects of engineering from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. This position can be located in Everett, Bellevue, Woodinville or Tacoma, WA. Responsibilities for this role will be but not limited to the following: Lead and manage land development projects from conception to completion, including site planning, design, permitting, and construction administration.
Collaborate with clients, architects, planners, regulatory agencies, and internal team members to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Conduct site feasibility studies, including land use analysis, zoning reviews, and environmental assessments.
Prepare and review engineering design calculations, plans, and specifications for site grading, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Coordinate and oversee the work of design consultants, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget constraints.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project delivery.
Communicate project status, updates, and issues to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
Aid in business development efforts by maintaining and growing client relationships in the private sector.
Develop pursuit strategies for new project opportunities, including proposals, interviews, and client negotiations.
Drive projects involving platting, subdivision design, and entitlement processes for commercial, multifamily, and master-planned communities.
Basic Qualifications:
Note: This position is not focused on public infrastructure, K-12, or park-based civil projects. Experience in those areas is valuable, but candidates must demonstrate leadership in private development projects to be considered. Benefits:
