POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and implementing global HR policies and programs that align with the company's goals and enhance employee engagement. The Director will lead initiatives in employee relations, change leadership, mergers and acquisition activity, culture initiatives, development of policies and procedures, and leading special projects to ensure a high-performing workforce. Additionally, this role will oversee compliance with labor laws and regulations, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect. Ultimately, the Director of Human Resources will drive organizational effectiveness through strategic HR leadership and innovative solutions. DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures
- Partner with the senior management team to provide strategic and operational HR leadership
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement
- Ensure development and implementation of talent management strategies, organizational design, workforce planning, recruitment, training, and development, performance management, succession planning, and inclusion initiatives
- Implement HR initiatives for merger and acquisition activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and organizational alignment to ensure a smooth transition for employees and business continuity
- Facilitate effective communication across various teams within the organization, while championing and cultivating the company culture
- Oversee talent acquisition processes to attract, select, and retain top talent, by overseeing the daily activities of recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Partner with the ESG Manager, providing demographic statistics and social content for the annual report
- Partner with the CHRO to identify vendors, resources, and programs that will expand upon and improve existing programs and strategic initiatives
- Partner with other members of the HR team on special projects
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 10+ years of experience working in Human Resource management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- High proficiency in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Professional HR Certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
- Experience in creating strong relationships that foster the spirit of innovation, improvement, and collaborative solutions and developments
