Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Stroke Research Coordinator to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards. Research project manager (PMs) are responsible for leading stroke research projects (specifically NIH funded) to satisfy defined scientific objective. PMs provide support in development of techniques for conducting research. They are responsible for reviewing research related fieldwork, validating collected data (WebDCU), authoring reports and communicating across various research constituencies (NIH StrokeNet, SIREN, and NeuroNEXT). NIH StrokeNet conducts small and large clinical trials and research studies to advance acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and recovery and rehabilitation following a stroke. This network of 25 regional centers across the U.S., which involves more than 200 hospitals, was designed to serve as the infrastructure and pipeline for exciting new potential treatments for patients with stroke and those at risk for stroke. SIREN (The Strategies to Innovate Emergency Care Clinical Trials Network) is a clinical trials network funded by the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS). The goal of the SIREN Network is to improve the outcomes of patients with neurologic, cardiac, respiratory and hematologic emergencies by identifying effective treatments given in the earliest stages of care. NeuroNEXT (The Network for Excellence in Neuroscience Clinical Trials) was created to conduct studies of treatments for neurological diseases through partnerships with academia, private foundations, and industry. Funded by the NINDS, NeuroNEXT was designed to increase efficiency of clinical trials, expand the capability ofNINDSto test promising new therapies, and respond quickly asopportunities arise to test promising new treatments for people with neurological disorders. As a Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center, we aim to apply for Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) that requires conduction of IRB-related stroke research. Additionally, nursing research is required for application of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program. Project Management:
