As a Software Engineer Intern - GenAI/LLM, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting advanced AI-driven tools that serve learners and educators across the globe. This 10-week internship is designed for motivated, curious, and tech-savvy individuals who are passionate about AI, education, and software development. Join McGraw Hill's dynamic team and contribute to innovative projects that are shaping the future of educational technology.

This is a 10-week summer internship starting June 9th and is a remote internship. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.

What You will be doing:

  • Develop a proof of concept for a generative AI tool aimed at enhancing digital learning experiences.
  • Write clean, efficient code in Python and object-oriented languages, and participate in peer code reviews to uphold quality standards.
  • Create onboarding guides and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support training on key technologies and workflows.
  • Contribute to testing and documentation efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of software components.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams in a fast-paced environment to deliver innovative AI-driven education solutions.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Python or object-oriented programming languages.
  • Familiarity with large language models and frameworks such as GPT, Claude, LangChain, or LangGraph.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work Eastern Timezone hours and contribute to testing, documentation, and team onboarding efforts.

The pay for this position is $35/hour, however, pay offered may vary depending on degree pursuing, knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
