Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Mechanical Trades, the Plumbing Shop Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of Main Campus Plumbing Shop serving all buildings on Main, Ambler, and Center City Campuses and outlying buildings, including providing technical expertise to cross-department or University-wide projects; consulting with others as needed to coordinate the planning and execution of projects and the delivery of a service to other departments within the University. Adheres to procedures and standards pertinent to the area of responsibility. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

*A Philadelphia Master Plumber License.
*At least three (3) years of mechanical trades supervisory experience.
*All applicants must pass a criminal background check prior to hiring.
*Must have a valid US Driver's License or the ability to obtain one if hired.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Must be able to work On-Call several weeks throughout the year.
*Must have a solid understanding of plumbing codes and a basic understanding of building codes.
*Proven supervisory skills with the ability to manage projects.
*Working knowledge of all applicable computer software, including MS Office.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to read drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
*Familiarity with all laws and regulations pertaining to standard engineering and facilities management equipment operation and repair.
*Ability to operate all standard engineering and facilities management equipment and knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to equipment operation and repair.
