Advantage Technical seeks a skilled Molding Process Technician for an exciting opportunity in Maple Grove, MN. This position is with a reputable company that Advantage Technical has partnered with to enhance its team and drive innovation in the injection molding industry.

Pay: Up to $30.00/hr

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Requirements for this role include:



  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with an Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Preferred experience in injection molding and process development
  • Required experience is 1 to 2 years in a related field.

As a Molding Process Technician, your daily duties will include:



  • Developing, setting up, and running injection molded components
  • Troubleshooting molding processes that are not fully optimized
  • Collaborating with Product Development and Manufacturing to create injection molding processes for prototype designs
  • Prototyping new components and providing samples for performance testing
  • Developing concepts and constructing prototypes/products based on those concepts
  • Utilizing basic mechanical drawing or Computer-Aided Design software to document prototypes and fixtures
  • Qualifying tooling and fixturing to ensure intended use
  • Exploring and proposing creative solutions based on solid rationales, contributing to design and process concepts
  • Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions
  • Assisting project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards
  • Utilizing internal resources and qualified external vendors to support engineering teams in identifying and obtaining supplies and services
  • Assisting the metrology department by coordinating routine calibrations of gauges used in process development
  • Performing routine maintenance on some manufacturing equipment and supporting equipment strategy
  • Acting as a resource and mentor to other employees in the group
  • Training and collaborating with production staff to ensure proper implementation of New Product Development processes
  • Communicating project status to project teams
