You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields.   • Experience supervising/leading a team of design/tooling engineers
  • Background in the development of tooling, including underwater tooling applications
  • Good analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills
  • Generic knowledge of disassembly, reassembly, and fuel handling activities at commercial nuclear power plants
  • Experience working with SolidWorks and/or SmarTeam applications



Your Opportunity

As an Engineering Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Framatome's Outage Services group focuses on performing Reactor maintenance and refueling during scheduled outages. The Outage Services Engineering team helps to design and develop tooling that is used during these maintenance activities to enhance safety, improve efficiency, and increase reliability. They also support specialized and/or infrequently performed maintenance activities to ensure first time quality and meet our customer's needs. This engineering supervisor will lead a team of tooling engineers that develop and maintain tooling/equipment used to support BWR and PWR refueling outages. Additionally, this team supports and provides technical expertise for special projects undertaken by both BWR and PWR Services organizations. Your work will include:



  • Ensure effective performance and execution of projects assigned to the engineering team.


  • Plan and direct the timely execution of engineering activities.


  • Ensure projects comply with established policies, processes, procedures, and adhere to customer specifications/standards.


  • Monitor progression of assigned projects to ensure completion within the agreed upon schedule and budget.


  • Provide technical guidance to engineering team regarding the design and implementation of tooling.


  • Deploy to site as need to resolve issues and provide field management oversight.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
